Amcor Flexibles Europe & Americas has launched new sustainable packaging for Belgium-based Beyers Coffee’s BénéCafe brand, claiming it is an ‘innovative breakthrough in packaging’ for the coffee market.

The NaturePlus Renewable is a three-ply laminate made from renewably sourced materials.

The green packaging will come in a coffee bag format containing 58% carbon, based on the standardised analytical test method (ASTM) D6866 to test carbon-neutral CO2 emissions.

According to the company, the barrier properties and seal integrity of the bag will allow coffee to retain its freshness and aroma.
