The new AQUAhydrate 750ml aluminium bottle is part of the company’s plan to tackle an increasing plastic packaging issue.

AQUAhydrate brand director Raz Inserra said: “We were challenged to improve the way we deliver our electrolyte-enhanced alkaline water to consumers without compromising the great taste.

“You simply cannot get the unique hydration benefits of AQUAhydrate from a tap. This sleek environmentally friendly bottle is a perfect fit for AQUAhydrate and aluminium a desirable and practical solution for innovation to come.”

AQUAhydrate has used aluminium that is 100% recyclable across the US.

The 750ml resealable aluminium bottle will be launched for commercial operation across the US in the next few months.

AQUAhydrate water is supplemented with electrolytes and natural trace minerals and then elevated to an alkaline pH of over 9.

AQUAhydrate acting president Matthew Howison said: “We listened to the feedback from our customers and our extensive social media base who overwhelmingly wanted to see an environmentally sound package without compromising our crisp clean taste or functional benefits.

“This attractive aluminium package has been enthusiastically received and we look forward to seeing it on shelves this spring.”

In September 2019, Alkaline88 manufacturer The Alkaline Water Company acquired AQUAhydrate.
