Packaging solutions provider Ardagh Group has designed a sustainable packaging for Polish beverage company Ambra’s cider brand Cider Lubelski.

The packaging, which was developed by Ardagh in collaboration with Spiritus Movens Design Studio, reportedly represents a sustainable solution and improves the visibility of the beverage brand on the shelf in stores.

As part of the design process, the companies created a sustainable solution that emphasises the natural cider production process.

The lighter glass packaging will be used for Cider Lubelski Classic, Cider Lubelski Unfiltered, Cider Lubelski Antonówka Unfiltered and Cider Lubelski Honey.

“The packaging features a new embossing design that contains large, bold letters depicting ‘Cydr Lubelski’ around the bottleneck and shoulder.”

The company used the narrow neck press and blow (NNPB) production method in order to reduce the weight of the 400ml glass bottles.

The NNPB method reportedly helped achieve a 10% weight reduction in each bottle, while maintaining the cider’s high-pressure requirements.
