Plastic, glass, and metal containers and closures supplier Berlin Packaging have opened a new facility in Lockport, Illinois, US for Freund Container & Supply division, which is focused on convenience quantities of packaging and industrial supplies.

The latest facility adds to the company’s existing warehouse space of more than six million square feet.

Spread over 305,000ft², the newly-constructed warehouse expands total space available for the division and ensures a 98% same day ship rate.

The Freund Container & Supply division comprises FreundContainer.com e-commerce platform, as well as catalogue and sales channels.

It offers customer services to businesses in the packaging industry, and supports Berlin Packaging’s one-stop shop solution.

The additional space will enable the division to expand its product offering and fulfil more orders.

The Lockport facility is equipped with technological solutions and improves productivity at the warehouse.

In addition, Freund Container has dedicated warehouses in Nevada and Georgia.

Berlin Packaging serves multiple industries, including beverage, wine, spirits, beer, personal care, household care, pharmaceuticals, and cannabis through more than 100 sales and warehouse locations across North America and Europe.
