The deal is aimed at enhancing Cartonpack’s commercial and operational foothold in Northern Italy and broadening its range of solutions for the fruit, vegetable and food sectors.
Cartonpack and Agrypack have worked together for many years as commercial partners, building a relationship grounded in shared sector knowledge and complementary product lines.
Agrypack CEO Simone Turrini said: “This transaction formalises a long-standing and successful collaboration and opens up new growth opportunities, supported by a broader industrial structure and a shared vision focused on service quality and sustainable development.”
Agrypack’s current leadership will remain in place, with Turrini continuing to head the company.
The agreement also provides for a development programme at Agrypack’s historical site, including the extension of operations across two logistics and production areas to increase capacity and service levels.
Through this acquisition, Cartonpack Group expands its geographic coverage and deepens its integration across the supply chain.
Cartonpack CEO Giuseppe Leone said: “The acquisition strengthens our presence in Northern Italy and consolidates a historical partnership that has created value over time. It allows us to integrate commercial expertise and local market knowledge within a solid industrial platform, further improving service quality and customer proximity.”
In 2024, Cartonpack Group acquired a majority interest in FIMAT, a manufacturer of cardboard packaging for food.
That transaction was intended to reinforce Cartonpack’s offering in fibre-based packaging and strengthen its industrial footprint in Northern Italy, as well as in the French and German markets.
