Coca-Cola has announced it has invested more than £50m in projects in three of its UK production plants.
Around £30m will go into a new automated warehouse at the company’s bottling facility in Wakefield, Yorkshire, which will increase the plant’s storage capacity by 102%.

The company will further invest £15m to boost production at its Sidcup site in London.
Coca-Cola said a new canning line will be introduced that will raise the site’s capacity by an additional 20 million cases of products a year.
In addition, the company is also investing £5.4m in a number of projects at its East Kilbride facility in Scotland.
The projects include the introduction of SIDEL SB0 20, a new energy-efficient bottle blowing facility that will produce lightweight PET bottles and reduce the amount of PET required.
