Once completed, the project will enhance workflow, create more storage space and increase capabilities at the Rawcliffe site.

It will further enable the company to optimise output from its new multi-point gluer system, which was installed around a year ago with an investment of £750k.

Cepac Rawcliffe Bridge factory general manager Richard Moore said: “Cepac has invested in our site since the acquisition and this latest phase represents the most significant investment at the site for many years.

“The spirit in the plant has been significantly buoyed by this announcement. The investment is absolutely key to our future strategic objectives.”

In 2013, Cepac bought the Rawcliffe site, which mainly provides corrugated supply chain solutions for performance applications such as regular cases, rotary die cut, flat bed die cut, stitched boxes.

The new investment, which follows a recent £1m investment at Cepac’s Doncaster site, is expected to enable the Rawcliffe site to partner with new customers and increase its service offering for existing customers.
