Chinese co-packer Nanjing Ziquan has installed the second Sidel complete hot-fill PET line at its Nanjing facility in order to increase production capacity.
Sidel’s new hot-fill PET line is capable of producing 36,000 bottles per hour (bph).

The addition of a new line will bring the total number of hot-fill lines installed at the Nanjing plant to three.
Sidel’s comprehensive line includes an SBO Heat-Resistant blower with 20 blowing stations, a Sidel Matrix SF700 hot filler, conveyors, labeller and packer.
By installing Sidel’s new hot-fill complete line, the Nanjing Ziquan intends to further increase production capacity of Mizone in PET bottles.
A Nanjing Ziquan management spokesperson said: “The earlier Sidel line had been maintaining an operating efficiency of 95%+ and has even been upgraded recently so that its output speeds for the 600ml bottle format increased from 30,000bph to 34,500bph.

In addition to manufacturing PET bottles for Mizone, the new hot-fill line will be used to meet the production demands of drinks packaging such as teas, isotonics and juices.
A part of the Shanghai Ziquan Beverage Company, Nanjing Ziquan was established in April 2004 and it produces PET bottles for several major brands, including Danone and Coca-Cola, at its 56,000m² facility in the Nanjing high-tech industrial development park.
