UK-based Co-operative Group (Co-op) is set to introduce QR codes to fresh produce packaging to allow consumers to access information about the origins of food.

By scanning the codes with a mobile device in stores, consumers will be directed to the Co-op’s mobile site where they find information about the food, suppliers, nutritional information and recipes.
