Coca-Cola Bottling reported a 37% decline in net income for the third quarter of 2011 despite a revenue increase as its costs increased by more than 9%.

The company’s net income for the quarter was $9.8m compared to $15.5m in the same period last year.

Coca-Cola Bottling said its quarterly revenue increased to $405.9m against $395.4m, a year ago.

The company said its third-quarter earnings were hit by losses, including the accounting adjustments on fuel and aluminum hedges.

Coca-Cola Bottling packages and distributes beverages, primarily for Coca-Cola.
