Reid Canada has completed an acquisition of Deltapac Packaging’s assets.

Based in Canada, Deltapac manufactures plastic bottles for the chemical, cosmetics, food and pharmaceutical industries, while Reid Canada is a wholly-owned subsidiary of a consolidated container company also based in Canada.

The deal is expected to help Reid Canada expand its footprint in Canada, while also offering its wide range of products in the chemical, sanitation, food and pharmaceutical packaging market.

Andritz has purchased a large stake in Diatec, an Italy-based manufacturer of converting machines for the packaging industry.

The remaining stake in Diatec is currently held by two shareholding families.

The acquisition is expected to help Austrian international technology group ANDRITZ strengthen its non-woven product portfolio.

Kush Bottles has purchased Zack Darling Creative Associates (ZDCA) and its subsidiary The Hybrid Creative.

The company paid $1.45m in cash and 360,000 of its common stock shares for the deal. Kush will also pay $1.75m in the form of cash and stocks upon the achievement of certain milestones by Hybrid.

ZDCA will become a subsidiary of Kush Bottles, while The Hybrid Creative will continue to operate as a subsidiary of ZDCA, following the transaction.

ZDCA’s portfolio of cannabis and non-cannabis projects will continue operating under The Hybrid Creative.

The acquisition is expected to expand Kush Bottles’ brand and its customers in the cannabis market as well as other sectors.

Toyo Aluminium has purchased 33.4% of issued shares of Svam Packaging Industries.

Toyo Aluminium is a Japan-based seller and manufacturer of aluminium products. The acquisition is expected to enable the company to expand its technologies and products.

Essentra has acquired the share capital of Nolato Hertila for Skr58m ($6.6m).

Hertila is a Sweden-based manufacturer and distributor of caps and plugs and other plastic components, while Essentra is an essential components and solutions provider based in the UK.

The acquisition is expected to expand Essentra’s product range and also increase its manufacturing capacity in Scandinavia.

Goldman Sachs affiliates have entered an agreement with Genstar Capital to acquire Boyd Corporation.

Goldman Sachs is an investment banking firm, while Genstar Capital is a private equity firm and Boyd Corporation is a provider of thermal management and environmental sealing solutions.

All the companies involved in the transaction are based in the US.

KHS USA plans to purchase the assets of manufacturer Scandia Packaging Machinery.

As part of the acquisition, KHS USA will take over Scandia Packaging Machinery’s system portfolio, additional equipment, extensive machine expertise and customer base.

Scandia Packaging Machinery will operate as KHS USA following the transaction.

Both the companies involved in the deal are based in the US.

The acquisition is expected to help KHS expand its product portfolio and add compact cartoners and secondary packaging machines to its manufacturing capability.
