Crown’s business unit Crown Aerosol Packaging North America has announced the launch of a complete line of slim 45mm diameter aerosol containers to help cosmetic and personal care brands address consumer need for smaller, travel-sized packaging in the US.
The new containers have a considerable aesthetic appeal, for male and female consumers alike and are suitable for beauty and personal care product applications, including shaving cream, makeup, hairspray, sun tan lotion, perfume, body spray and deodorant.

According to the company, the containers feature a lean, easy-to-grip ergonomic profile with decorative finishes and textures.
Crown Aerosol Packaging North America marketing manager Melissa Quintana said: "Consumer lifestyles are increasingly hectic. Smaller aerosol packaging is growing in popularity as it is easier and more convenient for people to take their favorite products in handbags, gym bags or personal luggage.
"At the same time, these smaller formats are suitable for consumers who value the premium look and feel of personal care packaging but who are looking to either purchase smaller volumes of their favorite brands or prefer to trial new products without committing to the cost of buying full size containers."
With the advanced metal decorating techniques manufacturers will be able to market small volumes of product in luxurious packaging, Crown noted.

At present, the company offers a steel aerosol containers range in the slim 45mm diametre line, with fill volumes that range from 4.7oz to 9.1oz.
