TC Transcontinental completes acquisition of Artisan Complete

North American flexible packaging manufacturer TC Transcontinental has completed the acquisition of in-store marketing company Artisan Complete.

North American flexible packaging manufacturer TC Transcontinental has completed the acquisition of in-store marketing company Artisan Complete.

The financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.

The acquisition is part of the company’s strategy to enhance its in-store marketing product printing services in Canada.

In line with its strategy, TC Transcontinental acquired Holland & Crosby in October 2019.

The deal is expected to improve TC Transcontinental’s in-store marketing portfolio and strengthen its relationship with retailers.

TC Transcontinental president and CEO François Olivier said: “Artisan Complete is very well known within the industry and its capabilities will complement TC Transcontinental Printing’s offering in three key areas of in-store marketing, namely promotional point-of-purchase, permanent signage and display / décor.

“It is a great addition to our Printing Sector and we anticipate that our in-store marketing vertical, which now employs approximately 550 employees, will generate revenues of close to $140m on an annualised basis. We are in an excellent position to present our customers with an even broader range of innovative and coveted products and services.”

Established in 1971, Artisan Complete is located in Ontario, Canada, and employs 187 people. It focusses on developing creative retail environments, point-of-purchase displays and large-format printing.

Focusing primarily on retail environment design, the company operates in the display segment leveraging special equipment and expertise.

Based in Montreal, Canada, TC Transcontinental has over 40 years of experience in flexible packaging.

The company has more than 9,000 employees based in the US, Canada and Latin America.
