Deals this week: OIA Global, IMMER Group, Max Ventures

Logistics and packaging materials sourcing company OIA Global has announced a partnership with Digimarc and Ditto Sustainable Brand Solutions to create Ditto Smart Hangers.

Logistics and packaging materials sourcing company OIA Global has announced a partnership with Digimarc and Ditto Sustainable Brand Solutions to create Ditto Smart Hangers.

The customisable hangers record real-time product tracking and improve product security.

Digimarc is the inventor of The Barcode of Everything, whereas Ditto is a manufacturer and marketer of display tools for retailers.

“IMMER Ukrplastic intends to use the funding to enter new markets and diversify its exports to the European Union.”

Both the companies involved in the transaction are based in the US.

IMMER Group has secured €30m ($36.6m) in funding, which includes a €15m ($18.33m) debt mobilised from multiple lenders, from International Finance Corporation (IFC) to support the economic growth of export-oriented industrialisation and create jobs in Ukraine.

IMMER Ukrplastic intends to use the funding to enter new markets and diversify its exports to the European Union.

Based in Russia, IMMER Group is a producer of flexible packaging materials, whereas IFC is a global development institution based in the US and a World Bank Group member.

Max Ventures and Industries, an Indian producer and retailer of metallised and un-metallised biaxial oriented polypropylene films, intends to raise Rs4.5bn ($70.75m) through a rights issue of equity shares.

The transaction is, however, subject to require necessary regulatory approvals.

Avon and Cambridge Design Partnership (CDP) joined together to perform consumer trials of the former’s new skincare product, Anew Reversalist Infinite Effects Night Treatment Cream, to test smart packaging for a month.

The product was developed using CDP’s diialog™ insight technology, which is designed to be intuitive and easy-to-use. The dialogue system was integrated into the cream’s packaging.

CDP ensure that the system’s battery lasted for a month during the trial period.

Avon is a global beauty brand while CDP is a technology and product design firm based in the US.
