Dettol launches new 100% recycled handwash bottle in India

Germ protection brand Dettol has launched its limited-edition handwash bottle made from fully recycled plastic in India.

Germ protection brand Dettol has launched its limited-edition handwash bottle made from fully recycled plastic in India.   

The 100% Post Consumer Resin (PCR) Dettol Handwash bottle is part of the company’s aim to address the plastic pollution problem which has accelerated due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  

Dettol is sold by Reckitt Benckiser group of companies. It is available exclusively at Reliance Retail & Jio Mart in 200ml sized bottle for ₹99 ($1.35)  

RB Health South Asia chief marketing officer Pankaj Duhan said: “The onset of the pandemic has raised many questions surrounding plastic waste. With this launch Dettol’s protection from the 100 illness causing germs packed in 100% recycled packaging will not only protect your hands from germs but your environment too.

By 2025, RB aims to make 100% plastic packaging to be for all products from reusable or recycled material.
