DS Smith has designed a new packaging for Finland-based Silenta Group’s hearing protection products.

A new visual image for the packaging has already been developed by a DS Smith graphic designer, based at one of the company’s PackRight Centres.

The packaging features new graphics and a new colour palette, which improves the shelf presence of the product.

A corrugated board coloured with water soluble paints has also been included in the new packaging design to mark the recyclable and environmentally friendly nature of the packaging.

DS Smith representative Karri Koskela said: “Our in-house specialist graphic designer used a design plan which ensured that the correct colours were used at the production stage.

“This has resulted in an efficient, cost-effective and stand out solutions which delivers to the brief. The packaging is in line with Silenta Group’s sustainable aspirations and creates a more cohesive and consistent brand experience than before.”

Silenta Group, which currently exports 80-90% of its products, required its new packaging to be flexible and suitable for different markets.

The company also sought inclusion of environmentally friendly materials in its packaging to ensure its sustainability credentials.

With the implementation of the new packaging design, the company has already seen a significant rise in brand awareness.
