Packaging equipment manufacturer Duravant has acquired Ohlson Packaging, in a bid to expand its product portfolio and strengthen its integration and service capabilities.
Ohlson Packaging designs and produces automatic and semi-automatic net weighing and counting machines.

The company’s portfolio includes combination and linear weighers, vertical baggers, pouch machines, bucket elevators, rotary tables and supply hoppers.
Ohlson’s automatic food packaging lines are used by Frito-Lay, Hershey’s, Kraft Foods, Tyson Foods and Maple Leaf Foods to package their products into bags, bottles, boxes, pre-made pouches, cups, containers and trays.

The acquisition of Ohlson Packaging will allow Duravant to continue to serve its customers in frozen foods, hardware, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, snack foods, electrical components and beyond.
