The new kit contains a 64oz or 96oz refill bottle and a 16oz everyday bottle.

Both the bottles are easy to hold using one hand lift, lightweight and require less space for storage.

ECOS president and CEO Kelly Vlahakis-Hanks said: “As a mother, I’m always looking for new products that make my life a little easier, especially now when it’s hard to get to the store as often.

“I’m excited to bring this game-changer to shoppers because I know first-hand how wonderful it’s been to use in my own kitchen.”

Additionally, the Mother & Child ECOS Refill Kit lowers the use of plastic as it needs no shrink-wrap or packaging.

The company noted that the refill system offers ‘the volume of five containers in one compact kit’.

The new kits are available at Whole Foods Market in the US and other retailers across the nation.

Operating since 1967, ECOS specialises in manufacturing environmentally friendly laundry detergents and cleaners.

In February this year, the company introduced ECOSNext. It is a liquidless formulation of its laundry detergent packaged now in a lightweight and compact laundry square.
