
Belgium-based Esko has provided the Kongsberg XN22 cutting system to Germany’s Dönitz Displays & Verpackungen.
The new machine replaces a 15-year-old cutting system used by Dönitz Displays & Verpackungen, and will provide fast turn display prototypes and enhanced production.
Esko’s Kongsberg XN22 system will also help Dönitz with customised branding activities.
Designed to manufacture displays, packaging and other advertising vehicles, the Kongsberg XN series is available in seven different sizes.
The model in operation at Dönitz has a work surface of 1,680mm x 2190mm and includes several specialty tools that provide speed, power and flexibility.
It automatically handle various materials, such as corrugated, folding carton, solid board, foam, wood and several plastics.

Dönitz currently uses the new Kongsberg system to perform around 100 different cutting and creasing jobs every week.
The machine produces display prototypes and components, exhibition samples, and specimens for presentations.
Established in 1992, Dönitz Displays & Verpackungen works with several materials, such as corrugated cardboard, solid fibre board and carton.
