The new Exceed XP 6026 and Exceed XP 6056 are said to offer performance advantages for film converters and end-users in various applications, such as soft-shrink and food lamination packaging film.
These grades are designed to provide enhanced processability, toughness, flex-crack resistance, sealability, shrink performance and optical properties, ExxonMobil said in a statement.

ExxonMobil Chemical plastics and resins vice-president Cindy Shulman said: “We are excited to extend our recently launched Exceed XP portfolio with two new grades that provide our customers with additional options for applications that require extreme performance.
“Since its launch, Exceed XP has been exceptionally well received in the market with customers reporting an unprecedented level of performance. The new grades we are introducing will broaden this impact.”
Film converters will also benefit from the polymers' high melt strength that results in improved bubble stability and output.
Shulman further added: “It is by sharing knowledge and working in collaboration across the value chain that helps us create differentiated solutions for applications where extreme performance matters.”

By GlobalDataThe Exceed XP polymers can be used to produce strong films that prevent leakage and contamination, as well as tough and secure shrink film with controlled holding forces to protect delicate or irregularly shaped packaging.
The new grades will be presented at the K 2016 event scheduled to be held in Dusseldorf, Germany, between 19-26 October.
