Danish plastics packaging manufacturer Færch Plast has added new sizes and styles to its range of Steam/It polypropylene (PP) ‘Trivet’ containers to meet increasing demand from ready-meal producers.

The trays, used in the steaming process to maintain food quality, preserve vitamins and flavours and can be used for meals including pasta as they separate the sauce from the main product.

The company claims PP offers good strength and elasticity while providing resistance to the pressure in a steaming process.

The company’s existing range includes trays of single, two and three cavities, all with good sealing abilities.
