Harpak-ULMA, ULMA’s connected packaging solutions business in North America, has opened its new Customer Experience Center (CXC) in Costa Mesa, California, US.
This milestone represents a key investment by the company to expand its customer services and support.
The centre is located ten minutes away from Orange County’s John Wayne Airport, proving convenient access from the west region of the country.
It will expand the company’s presence and national support coverage on the US West Coast by providing various consumer-centric services that were previously available only at Harpak-ULMA’s flagship CXC in Taunton, Massachusetts.
The facility will serve both as a regional parts distribution centre, as well as a hub for sales, services, support and training activities.
Harpak-ULMA CEO Kevin Roach said: “Our expansion to the West Coast enables us to more directly and efficiently offer our services and solutions to our growing customer base in the region.

By GlobalData“The combination of additional, West Coast-based customer service staff and technicians, along with launching a second CXC, sends a confident message to customers who benefit significantly from our enhanced presence in the region and our commitment to further expanding the best possible customer experience service and technology services, support and solutions available to the industry.”
The centre also features new lines to support connected machines and demonstrations of advanced digital connectivity for packaging activities.
According to Harpak-ULMA, the CXC will be used for hosting live demonstrations of its packaging and automation solutions such as flow wrapping, thermoforming, tray sealing, vision inspection, stretch wrapping, and robotic utilisation.
CXC Costa Mesa will allow Harpak-ULMA’s customers to directly evaluate and experience these latest technologies by availing demonstrations, to then make more informed purchase decisions.
Customers can also schedule meetings with the company’s expert resources to learn about various packaging topics, including package/solution design guidance, testing multiple packaging styles, and general packaging strategies.
Additional facilities include interactive services for sample development, training, and prototyping.
