HB Fuller and Graco have entered a partnership to develop and produce an adhesive and equipment system for the packaging industry, using a recently acquired adhesive technology.

The companies aim to provide specialised fluid handling equipment that will pump, process and dispense Liquamelt, an adhesive that brings many advantages to the packaging market.

According to the companies, the technology will reduce adhesive use by more than 50% and serves as an alternative to both conventional hot and cold adhesive systems.

The system also provides environmental benefits as its formulation consists of 40% sustainable raw materials, eliminating the need for hot tanks and hoses while reducing energy consumption.

HB Fuller president and CEO Jim Owens said the new delivery equipment designed for its Liquamelt adhesive solution will allow the company to help customers drive cost and complexity from their processes.
