EPIX’s technology portfolio features materials and chemistry solutions that improve paper quality for products ranging from straws and cups to eCommerce packaging. It also drives sustainable alternatives to single-use convenience items.

The patented technology is designed to help paper deliver increased functionality, enhance performance and enable companies’ to maintain the package’s sustainability and recyclability.
Henkel has partnered with online retail major Amazon to employ EPIX technology to develop a single-stream, curbside recyclable package.

The company noted that the package created using EPIX technology has received the ‘widely recycled’ classification. It is expected to soon carry the How2Recycle nationally harmonised label.
Last month, Henkel expanded its portfolio with the launch of an adhesive solution called Loctite Liofol LA 2798 for high-performance packaging applications.
In May, the German company developed a fully recyclable black plastic packaging solution in collaboration with its supplier Ampacet.
