Switzerland-based Ilapak and Teknoweb have entered a strategic partnership to jointly exhibit complete wet wipe production and packaging solutions at IDEA 2016, in Boston, Massachusetts, US.

The booth at the exhibition will display a Genesis Pack flow wrapper from Ilapak.

Teknoweb sales director Guido Conio said: "This demonstration will give visitors the opportunity to not only see the fastest machine on the market for producing cross-folded wipes, but to find out how it can be supplied as part of a complete converting and packing solution, whereby one project team takes ownership and guarantees the performance of the entire line.

"We want to make wet wipe businesses aware that they can now source seamlessly integrated converting and packaging lines that offer greater line efficiency, simpler installation and operation and a single point of contact for technical back-up.

"Through our joint development work, we’ve become the first company in Europe to offer full processing and packaging lines for wet wipe production."

During the exhibition, the companies will demonstrate mini-packs of cross-folded wipes being produced at speeds of 100 packs a minute.

Conio said: "IDEA 2016 will, we hope, be the first of many events where Ilapak and Teknoweb will have a joint presence. Our partnership is only at a fairly early stage, but is already taking us into territory that hasn’t been explored by other non-woven technology providers.
