Parmalat has installed an injection preform system (IPS) from Sacmi Group at its facility in Caserta, Italy.
The facility currently manufactures polyethylene terephthalate (PET) preforms for the Italian milk market.
Known as IPS 220, the newly installed solution provides a fully automated and integrated production platform to Parmalat.
The user-friendly changeover system features a 48-cavity injection mould, optimised hot chamber channels, and high-efficiency cooling circuits for heat exchange during production cycles.
It has been designed to be monitored remotely by any device connected to the corporate network.
The IPS 220 is able to predict spare part and maintenance requirements, reducing production downtime.
