The transaction boosts LPC’s capacity to design and manufacture detailed case inserts and complex foam components used in sectors such as aerospace and military.

According to the company, the deal improves its ability to cater to these sectors in the Bay Area and extending further into Orange County/Los Angeles/Inland Empire areas.

LPC CEO Mark Hoffman said: “This acquisition is a strategic capability multiplier for our company. It immediately strengthens our ability to deliver highly specialised, precision-engineered protective packaging solutions.

“GWEP’s expertise in fabricated case inserts for brands like Pelican and SKB, coupled with their focus on rigorous aerospace requirements, allows us to provide unmatched value and shorter lead times to our most demanding clients in the aerospace, defence and drone industries.”

According to LPC, GWEP’s capabilities in specialised materials and high-tolerance fabrication align with and enhance its own existing industrial packaging operations.

The integration of GWEP’s Ontario site increases LPC’s manufacturing base in California and consolidates the technical expertise and industry certifications of both businesses.

As part of the deal, Todd Teach, CEO of GWEP, will join LPC’s leadership team.

He will be responsible for business development and managing strategic customer relationships across the merged organisation.

Teach said: “Joining forces with Larson Packaging Company marks the right next step to enhance service for GWEP’s customers and employees.

“This partnership will accelerate the modernisation of our operations, expedite crucial ISO [International Organization for Standardization] (such as ISO9000 and AS9100) and cybersecurity certifications (such as NIST SP 800-171/CMMC compliance) essential for our aerospace and military customers, and dramatically shorten our lead times.”
