US-based speciality food producer Louisiana Food Company is set to start selling its best-selling Jammin’ Jambalaya in environmental-friendly paper cans.

Louisiana Food Company president David Loflin said the switch to paper cans allow for greater flexibility in retail displays and will lower the packaging cost per unit.

The first deliveries of the newly packaged Jammin’ Jambalaya are expected to be made in the fourth quarter of 2011.

The Jammin’ Jambalaya paper can labelling will carry a story inspired by the history, the culture and the people of South Louisiana, as do all of the company’s products.
