Bottling and packaging machinery manufacturer Seiko has announced plans to acquire an additional 690 shares in Nippon Kikai Shoji, increasing its total share in the target company to 82%.

Both companies involved in the transaction are based in Japan.

Rotocontrol, a labelling machine manufacturing company based in Germany, has announced its merger with US-based EMT International. The merged company expects to start shared production in the third quarter of 2017.

Rotocontrol expects the merger to expand its market in North America, and will continue to design, manufacture and sell Rotocontrol machines from its headquarters in Linau, Germany.

EMT produces finishing equipment and accessories for web digital and conventional print, while Rotocontrol manufactures label slitter / rewinder inspection and finishing machines.
