American fast food restaurant chain McDonald’s has introduced a new packaging called McBike that can be latched onto the handlebars of a bicycle.
The McBike is made of recyclable cardboard and has room for a burger, fries and a drink. This bag can be hung over the handlebars by folding its sides.
Designed by ad agency Tribal Buenos Aires in Argentina, McBike packaging is already available in Copenhagen, Denmark, and Medellin, Colombia, reports Gizmodo.
The company also plans to launch the packaging in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and Tokyo, Japan, in the near future.
The introduction of new packaging is expected to help the company to increase sales, which have decreased in recent quarters.
McDonald’s intends to introduce McBike packaging in bike-centric cities. However, it is not clear when the McBike packaging would be launched across McDonald’s outlets where bicycles are not very much in use.
