The move targets the increasing demand for paper-based flexible packaging, reflecting the growth in e-commerce and a rising emphasis on sustainability.
The installation is one element of a €400m ($463.8m) investment programme to boost capacity at the mill.
The new asset will manufacture high-strength, high-porosity grades for construction, industrial and e-commerce uses.
The investment will also allow it to streamline and balance production across its kraft paper range, including speciality products and papers with functional barrier properties.
