Germany-based Bosch Packaging Technology has introduced two new machines, Sigpack VPF and Sigpack HML, to provide better packaging solutions to the pharmaceutical sector.
With the new machines, Bosch further aims to boost its position in the non-aseptic packaging process for pharmaceuticals.

The new vertical flat pouch machine, Sigpack VPF, has been designed for packaging of powders, while the horizontal Sigpack HML machine is developed for flow wrapping purposes.
Bosch Packaging Technology Beringen site general manager Dr Christian Walti said: “Our new machines ideally complement the portfolio of Bosch Packaging Technology.
“We offer our customers from the pharmaceutical industry reliable and efficient solutions from a single source that can cover the entire production and packaging process.”
Using a new sealing technology developed by Bosch, the Sigpack VPF machine can produce hermetically sealed packages that protect the packed content.

By GlobalDataThe machine produces sachets and pouches of various sizes, and fill up to 1,500 sachets per minute.
Bosch’s new Sigpack HML compact horizontal flow wrapping machine can either be loaded independently or integrated into a complete line.
Available in both ultrasonic and heat sealing technology, the machine can wrap between 200 and 350 products in a minute.
The machine is suitable for hermetic packaging of pharmaceutical products, including vial cards or inhalers.
Bosch launched a Sigpack TTMP topload cartoner to serve pharmaceutical products packaging industry.
The company has also introduced bioreactors that can produce insulin and the newly launched machines will enable manufacturers to hermetically package the insulin pens into flow wraps.
