Marking PepsiCo’s continued commitment to minimise packaging waste, the move will support the company’s previously announced pledge to make its packaging fully recoverable or recyclable by 2025.

In March, PepsiCo announced a deal with biotechnology leader, Danimer Scientific, on the development of biodegradable film resins for use in thin film packaging.

The company, through its Closed Loop Fund, is also investing $100m to increase recycling rates in the US.
