Germany based marking, numbering and verification specialist Paul LEIBINGER has extended its product portfolio with the launch of four new inks for the food packaging industry.
The inks include two US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-compliant inks and two additional butanone (MEK)-free inks. All are compatible with the industrial JET3 and JET2neo inkjet printers.

The company has developed eggshell red ink for the marking of eggs. Even if ink gets inside the shell, the egg is still safe to eat.
LEIBINGE’s ethanol-based blue ink for the food and drinks sector is edible after printing and is suitable for food packaging as well as direct printing on food products.
With better overall adhesion, LEIBINGER’s new inks are also suitable for use as universal inks.
The inks have been tested in detail in the company’s testing laboratory, and satisfy strict LEIBINGER quality criteria and possess high print quality.
