The new system is designed to handle a range of sauce products in both plastic and glass containers, from 250ml up to 1l.

The line supports both hot and cold filling methods, and it is capable of handling up to 6,000 1l bottles each hour.

P&B (Foods) project manager Safiq Shaikh said: “We chose Autopack because of their extensive experience in the sauces, edible oils, and other viscous product sectors.

“Their team provided comprehensive design and integration support, which guided us from concept through to completion.”

The setup includes a rotary unscrambler for container orientation, a 12-head piston filler that manages different liquid consistencies, and dual capping equipment, which accommodates both plastic screw caps and metal caps.

A multifunctional labelling unit applies front, wraparound, and tamper-evident labels.

Further automation projects are underway between Autopack and P&B (Foods).

These include new lines for canning and bottling ghee, as well as an integrated drum-filling line for edible oils.

Commenting on the development, Autopack UK sales director Jonathon Stewart said: “Our reputation rests on the proven automated benefits our turnkey lines deliver… from improved speed and efficiency to reduced costs and wastage.”
