Global PET and plastics packaging supplier Petainer have partnered with US-based G3 Enterprises, which will see the former expand its manufacturing and distribution operations in the US.
This partnership will help UK-based Petainer boost its customer base and leverage the increasing popularity of wine-on-tap as an alternative to bottled wine, reported Packagingnews.co.uk.
G3 Enterprises offers packaging and supply chain solutions to wine and spirits industries in the US.
This partnership has introduced a new operation to bolster G3 Enterprise’s customer experience by offering mobile keg filling, as well as launching a blowing centre in North America.
The mobile filling and blowing centre help cater to the growing needs of customers for a flexible manufacturing way and reduced costs in logistics.
While the mobile keg filling operation enables producers and wine retailers to keg the beverage at any of their sites by using one-way petainer, the California blowing centre comes with a capacity to blow kegs for coolers of wine, beer and water.
Petainer’s group commercial strategy director Annemieke Hartman-Jemmett was quoted by Packagingnews.co.uk as saying: "Petainer’s partnership with G3 Enterprises is strategically important as it supports our offering to our customers, partners and our sales operations.
"G3’s industry knowledge and unique ability to provide innovative solutions will greatly benefit the US wine industry. We are working closely with G3 and its customers to deliver superior product quality and technical support."
G3 Enterprises vice-president of sales Mihailo Panovich said: "The Petainer 20l PET kegs allows wineries to grow sales of wine-on-tap with a low cost of ownership.
"The one-way, recyclable keg from Petainer is a real game changer, offering wineries competitive manufacturing and logistics costs while utilising the same dispensing systems required for conventional steel kegs."
petainerKeg systems are lightweight, recyclable, compacct and result in low carbon emissions, as well as help in reducing freight costs.
