The food-contact compliant coatings also meet both the North American and European regulatory requirements.

“This expansion significantly increases our packaging coatings manufacturing capability in the US, enabling us to meet growing demand for our industry-leading food-can coatings."

PPG’s new facility at the Oak Creek site will enable the company to produce specialised solutions to meet new food-contact requirements and market demands.

PPG packaging coatings vice-president Ken West said: “This expansion significantly increases our packaging coatings manufacturing capability in the US, enabling us to meet growing demand for our industry-leading food-can coatings.
