Fully integrated film and bags manufacturer Primary Packaging has strengthened its portfolio with the purchase of tamper evident security bags manufacturer Packaging Horizons.
Founded in 1974 as a manufacturer of polyethylene bags, Packaging Horizons specialises in multi-process converter manufacturing with a focus on tamper evident security packaging as well as Alert Security Bags.

Additionally, the company prints a variety of security overwrap films for various markets including pharmaceutical, medical, and food packaging.

Primary Packaging, which has expertise in polyethylene extrusion and film production, will expand its product offering of polyethylene bags through this acquisition.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
