Integrated packaging company Pro Mach has acquired the US-based inline printing and coding solutions manufacturer Greydon for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition, which will complement Pro Mach’s existing capabilities in flexible packaging, would enable the company expand its labelling and coding product offering.

According to Pro Mach, through its product integration with Greydon, the company will serve customers in shared end user markets such as medical device, pharmaceuticals, nutrition, food, meat and dairy.

Pro Mach’s labelling and coding group includes brands such as LSI and ID Technology, which supplies printer/applicators in North America.

The new Genesis digital ink printing solution of Greydon uses UV ink and produces output on most materials, including paper, Tyvek and flexible webs.

Genesis prints complete graphics and variable coding information and also delivers ideal performance and return on investment for medical device as well as pharmaceutical manufacturers.
