UK beverage can manufacturer Rexam has partnered with Dutch brewer Grolsch to produce cans for the latter’s beer offerings.
The partnership marks Grolsch’s 400th anniversary.
The company has used HD printing and matt over-varnish finish to create three new can designs that build on the brand’s previous cans.
Rexam Benelux sales director Matthijs Jansen said: "Having been their beverage can supplier of choice for many years, we wanted to ensure that our innovative printing techniques worked to bring a snapshot of their long history into the modern world, in a consumer relevant way."
Produced at Rexam’s Fosie plant in Sweden, the new 50cl cans have been designed by art director Gerard Brummer.
Grolsch’s beers in new Rexam cans will be available through retail channels in the Netherlands for a limited period.
