The acquired business supplies rigid and form liners, tote liners and other thermoformed components used in industrial packaging.
The unit employs 41 staff, all of whom will remain with the business, and generates annual sales in the “high single-digit million (USD) range”.
Ringmetall stated that the transaction is intended to reinforce its liner activities in the US, adding to its existing liner production site in New York.
The combined setup is expected to expand the product range and provide scope for future growth.
The EBITDA margin is reported to be in line with the usual level for Ringmetall’s liner segment.
The company plans to finance the purchase from existing cash resources and available credit lines.
Ringmetall plans to integrate the thermoforming division into the group in the near term.
Ringmetall co-CEO Christoph Petri said: “With the acquisition of the thermoforming division of New England Plastics, we are consistently pursuing our buy and build strategy.
“After the successful acquisition of Makplast last month, this is already the second acquisition this year. It underlines not only the attractiveness of the Ringmetall Group as a partner, but also our positioning as a serial acquirer. We also see further attractive acquisition opportunities in the further course of 2026, especially in the liner business.”
Last month, the company agreed to acquire Makplast Makine Plastik Sanayi ve Ticaret, a Turkish-based producer of liners for industrial packaging.
Ringmetall supplies industrial packaging components, including closure systems and inner sleeves for drums used in the chemical, pharmaceutical and food processing sectors.
The group is headquartered in Munich and operates production and sales sites in Finland, France, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Turkey, and the US.
