French firm RPC Bebo Bouxwiller has provided a multilayer pot to dairy producer Le Petit Basque for improved delivery and presentation of its new range of sheep’s milk specialities.

The dairy firm required a packaging solution for its Douceur de Brebis desserts that would both look aesthetically pleasing and guarantee the taste, freshness and extended life of the product.

Le Petit Basque required the pot to be white from the inside as it would help emphasise the quality and purity of the dessert.

The exterior of the pack also needed to be sky blue to be in line with the company’s recognisable branding.

“Le Petit Basque required the pot to be white from the inside as it would help emphasise the quality and purity of the dessert.”

The multilayer pot offered by RPC Bebo Bouxwiller is a specially designed 95mm pack produced using inline thermoforming, which efficiently transforms multiple technical polymers into the finished pack in a single production step.

The pot has been created to meet the necessary high-level hygiene and line-efficiency requirements throughout the filling operation.

A reduction in material usage has also successfully addressed Le Petit Basque’s sustainability requirements, in addition to ensuring that the pack provides necessary strength and reliability throughout the supply chain.

In November, RPC Bebo Bouxwiller was selected by regional French dairy company Duo Lozère to deliver the packaging for the firm’s organic yoghurts and fromage blanc.

Being lightweight and easy-to-handle, the 125cc thermoformed polypropylene pots combines consumer requirements and ease of use with enhanced product safety and presentation.
