Sauce

Danish plastic packaging firm RPC Superfos has developed a new customised squeezy polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle for Grace Foods UK’s Encona Taste Explorers range of sauces.

Encona is claimed to be one of UK’s most popular hot pepper sauce brands and is available in flavours such as West Indian Original Hot Pepper Sauce and Thai Mild Sweet Chilli Sauce.

Bidgood also noted that plastic packaging helps save on costs, as there are fewer breakages and reduced transportation costs due to a lower weight.

In addition, a change in the pallet configuration contributes to more efficient use of storage space.

Grace Foods sells its products both in glass and in plastic packaging. It started the Encona range more than 40 years ago in a square glass bottle with the Encona brand embossed on the side.
