The site has been developed by Sacchital’s management team with support from Emilio Alliegro, sales manager of flexible packaging at Bobst Italia.
Sacchital Group executive board member Alberto Palaveri stated: “This new site is designed to accommodate four flexo machines and related technologies and is at the centre of Sacchital’s growth plans. It represents an ambitious flexo enhancement programme aimed at serving an increasingly differentiated and fragmented market more effectively and at a lower cost.”
The new press is designed to respond to growing requirements for speed, flexibility and sustainability across different substrates, ink systems and finishing processes.
The VISION CI is configured to handle both short and long production runs and includes automated functions aimed at reducing setup times, improving repeatability and limiting waste

By GlobalDataThe press is fitted with BOBST’s smartGPS (Graphic Positioning System), which is intended to cut setup times and reduce material and ink waste during job changes.
The press can operate with both solvent-based and water-based inks through separate washing circuits.
Sacchital is also working with BOBST specialists to refine production workflows and plans to introduce seven-colour extended colour gamut (ECG) printing.
ECG is expected to contribute to gains in productivity, cost efficiency, colour consistency and sustainability, while also supporting downstream processes including finishing, varnishing and heat sealing.
BOBST flexible packaging marketing and communication manager Sara Alexander added: “Everything is moving fast: processes, innovation, people, communication. People no longer have time, and customers want quick answers in every sector.”
Sacchital Group specialises in paper-based flexible packaging and has been active in the sector for more than eight decades.

It employs 400 staff across five production sites, with the Sacchital operation in Pregnana Milanese described as the original and core plant.
