Plastic packaging manufacturer Sanner has acquired Plastina Holding for an undisclosed sum.
Plastina Holding is the parent company of Jaco and is based in Kirchheim, Germany. Jaco manufactures printed and unprinted plastic tubes for effervescent tablets. The acquisition is expected to strengthen Sanner’s effervescent packaging business globally.
Sanner's managing director Dirk Mähr said: “As a result of the merger, we have significantly strengthened our market position and have become the world market leader for effervescent packaging.”
Sanner noted that the acquisition will not have any effect on the employees or the production of either company. Customers will be served through sites in Bensheim and Kirchheim, Germany.
Jaco's managing director Tharcisse Decker said: “Together, we offer our customers one of the most comprehensive ranges of tubes and closures, combined with numerous decoration possibilities. This allows us to operate as a system supplier in the future.
“Apart from the strong French and European market, we are now also able to enter new markets such as the Middle East or Africa more effectively.”
