Sappi Europe, a packaging manufacturer, has launched a new digital platform designed to assist brand owners and packaging design agencies in creating customised packaging prototypes.
Known as packmockup.com, the new platform helps brands create customised packaging prototypes by leveraging Sappi’s functional papers with integrated barriers that are suitable for both food and non-food products.

According to Sappi, its packmockup.com platform serves as a ‘valuable’ resource for brands considering a shift from plastic or multilayer films to a more sustainable alternative, amidst increasing consumer and legislative pressure for sustainable packaging.
The platform is also claimed to simplify the overall decision-making process for brand owners and packaging design agencies concerning the stability, look, and feel of a paper-based packaging solution.
It will provide a user-friendly interface to companies for creating paper-based packaging mock-ups with integrated barriers against elements such as water vapour, grease, mineral oil, and oxygen.
