US-based rigid packaging for alcoholic drinks distributor Saxco International has acquired US packaging provider Square Peg Packaging and Printing.
Square Peg designs and supplies a variety of customised packaging and commercial printing materials. It also offers assembly, kitting, contract packaging, design and prototyping services.

Through the acquisition, Square Peg’s printing, labelling and design offerings will be an addition to Saxco’s current service offerings to drinks firms.
Saxco International CEO Matthew Malenfant said: "Square Peg’s capabilities will strengthen our strategy for custom packaging and services for the beer and beverage industry. We look forward to integrating that expertise with the Saxco scale and services as we become increasingly important to our customers’ branding and identity."
Saxco International is a portfolio company of middle market private equity firm The Sterling Group.
