US-based packaging firm Sealed Air has unveiled its new carton packaging solution, Stealthwrap.
Offering protection for primary package cartons during transition, Stealthwrap removes the need for additional shipping cartons and packing materials.
When used, the patented micro-layer, opaque cartooning solution shrinks and sticks to the dimensions of the product that has been packed in it.
Stealthwrap further obscures any markings or identification of the packed product and offers a strong, damage-resistant covering.
Planned to be distributed across North America by December, the solution will be available around the globe by the first quarter of next year.
Sealed Air product care division president Kenneth Chrisman said: “Consumers have become accustomed to receiving a box within a box within a box, and while the material waste and inefficiency of that kind of packaging method is evident, it has long been the only method available to provide adequate protection for the manufactured item in its original packaging.
