Smurfit Kappa Bag-in-Box has collaborated with France’s Domaine du Tauzia to offer a new packaging solution for liquid eggs.
Designed to be lightweight and unbreakable, the newly launched Pouch-Up range is available in 1l or 2l packaging, and its spout allows for easy pouring of liquid eggs.
With the new packaging solution, Domaine du Tauzia expects to expand its presence in the shell and pasteurised egg industries.
Smurfit Kappa produced the packaging using the BIB700 SUP, a new filling machine that includes two separate circuits and meets hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) criteria.
Domaine du Tauzia sales director Didier Daste said: "Liquid eggs packaged in Pouch-Up are a first on the market.
"Designed for the catering sector in 2016, the Pouch-Up has really conquered the bakers and pastry network in 2015."
