Ireland-based Smurfit Kappa Bag-in-Box has collaborated with Pressade to offer a new packaging solution for fruit juices.
Ireland-based Smurfit Kappa Bag-in-Box has collaborated with Pressade to offer a new packaging solution for fruit juices.
The newly launched Pressade Pouch-Up fruit juice is available in apple, orange and multi-fruit flavours.
The Pouch-Up solution’s Original Vitop tap, placed on the outside of the pack, is said to allow the product to flow smoothly.
The packaging is claimed to be lightweight, easy to use, convenient and user-friendly.
Pressade product manager Catherine Bererd said: "The Pouch-Up is a hygienic packaging which is perfectly adapted to aseptic filling.
"Thanks to these new products, we can innovate and differentiate ourselves on shelves.
"We think that this juice Pouch-Up will be very appreciated by the consumers, partly because it is offering convenience and it is fun."
Smurfit Kappa expects to position its Pouch-Up range in new market segments as a result of its packaging.
The company noted that the aseptically filled fruit juice market is a demanding market, requiring special hygiene and adapted technologies.
Smurfit Kappa currently employs around 45,000 people in nearly 370 production sites across 34 countries.
